I am on high alert.
There are 59 days left until Chrissy and I fly to beautiful Split in Croatia.
For one, that means that there are even less days to go until 1) I leave my job 2) We leave York 3) We move to Newcastle 4) Actually prepare for 1, 2 and 3.
It also means I have little time to get my body into some sort of shape that doesn’t resemble a deflating beach ball before I don a bikini on the sunny sands of Split.
However, in true me style, my never-ending lists keep me in check and order, and I’ve begun doing a bit of shopping for Croatia to start myself off. I’m BOUND to forget something as there will be so many things happening at once – but now I’ve got a head start, I reckon I’m less likely to forget to buy something vital. Like a suitcase.
So here’s a peek at what I’ve gathered so far:
I picked up the make-up on a Boots 3-for-2 offer. I have to say, the Seventeen bronzer is realllllly nice on my palest of pale skin. I’m always worried about applying any darker foundation or powder on my face even when I have a bit of a
sunburn tan, but this gives me a bit of colour without being patchy.
The Barry M highlight stick is also quite good for lightening up specific areas of your face. The lippy is AMAZING but far too bright (it’s shade ‘Audacious’) to crack out yet in this pseudo-Spring we’re having.
I LOVE THIS HAT. It’s a bit sombrero-y, but it’s also uhhh-mazing. I got it from TK Maxx with a leftover giftcard I had floating around.
I was also lucky enough to be sent this Collier Campbell print bag* from the lovely guys over at The Quintessential. I mentioned that I was looking for the perfect bag to take away on holiday, something medium sized and great for slinging over the shoulder when we go on the day trips we have planned. This is the gem I’d been after!
How amazing are the colours? When I first saw this bag, I thought it looked like what would happen if a Longchamp rucksack and a Kanken had a lovechild. It has the shape of a LC rucksack and the vibrancy of a Kanken.
It has just the right amount of pockets and zip-up bits.
I love the design and the colours, and also that I can adjust the bag to make it as tight or as slouchy as I like/need. The print is so beautiful – I never knew Collier Campbell actually made bags, I’d only ever seen their dreamy bedding which I have lusted over far too much in the past. I’m really excited to style this little number up with a few outfits over the next few weeks.
Don’t forget to head over to The Quintessential yourself to have a look at the dreamy bags on offer!
