Wearing glasses is like my comfort blanket. I feel like putting them on makes me a little bit invisible – and that’s perfect for those days where my skin has gone crazy or the bags under my eyes are large enough to pack for a weekend away.
I’ve never found the perfect pair; frames are so expensive, and somehow I’ve always managed to buy my frames just before a new trend comes in, meaning mine have always looked boring and nerdy. A few months ago, French eyewear company Polette offered me the chance to try out some of their frames, and after a quick browse, I was like duhh? Yes please.
Polette’s eyewear is simple, minimalist, and original – not to mention incredibly on trend and fashionable.
On the website itself, you can upload pictures of yourself so that you can see how different frames will suit your face, which I think is an amazing feature! How many times have you browsed glasses online, only to end up rejecting them all because you can’t tell for sure how they’ll look? Plus, it’s not as much of a faff as I thought it would be, it really is a simple picture upload, where you can then reposition and resize the virtual glasses to suit.
After browsing literally ALL of the frames they had on offer, I settled on the ‘Tiramisu’ frames. I loved how quirky they are, mixing traditional tortoise-shell frames with vibrant teal/turquoise arms.
Frames start from as little as $9.99 – which is such good value – and Polette can adjust your lenses to suit your personal prescription too. Polette’s concept is simply to deliver style AND quality at affordable prices
This is the first time I’ve loved wearing glasses, as they are so stylish and versatile. The quality of them is great – they are easy to clean, and very robust. You can find loads of shameless selfies of me wearing my lovely specs over on my Instagram!
Now comes the best part: Polette have kindly offered to run a giveaway giving one of you the chance to win a pair of their glasses or sunglasses! All you have to do is follow this Rafflecopter link and follow the instructions to be in with a chance to win.
